Nominated for Five Awards at the Power Up Summit founded by Kearn Crockett-Cherry

“An unmuted woman unmutes her family, her community, and any woman that hears her speak!” ~ Altovise Pelzer

The month of July came and went but not without opening up some opportunities and shifting some things in my life. Award nominations came pouring in as it open up the floodgates. It was interesting because many times people ask me the secret to connecting with so many amazing people. (Especially because as an introvert I was NOT keen on networking in large groups)

It is the consistency! That is the one of the key elements to being able to connect with such amazing people. The hard work you put in is being seen, talked about, and even felt by people that want to see you win. I am active in a few communities where I show up and support…not just show up to sell. That alone has opened up doors for me.

One of the doors included being nominated for five awards during the Power Up Summit.

I had the opportunity to not only be an ambassador for the Power Up Summit but I was also nominated for five awards. The awards ceremony was awesome and you can catch the replays by going the Power Up Summit Page on Facebook.

Here is where it went to another level for me. I had the opportunity to interview a few of the speakers from the summit on The #SpeakEasy Podcast. They lit it up on the podcast and you can hear why the Power Up Summit was such a huge success. With speakers like Lisa Nichols, Kim Coles, & Dr. Cheryl Wood, there were powerful messages, tips and resources be shared each day.

You can definitely see why the call Kearn the “butts in the seats Queen!”

Check out what they shared on the show.

As a VIP attendee of the Power Up Summit I had the opportunity to have a Q & A session with Lisa Nichols. This was after she had delivered a powerful session during the Power Up Summit. There were about 70+ people on zoom and Kearn chose a few people to ask questions. I was the second person chosen and it brought me so much joy to be able to have that brief conversation with her.

My question: “During the time when you were getting exposure from Oprah, Steve Harvey & other world renowned media outlets, what is one thing that you wish you had during that time?”

Her response was two parts but I’ll only share one part of it here.

~ Have a client management system in place (It’s necessary and Mandatory)

~ The bonus: Don’t miss out by trying to save money

With over 100 speakers, there were powerful messages for everyone. I’m glad that I was in attendance.
