Bored in the House… — Life After Domestic Violence with Dorothea Robinson
Well, by now you may have heard the song, “I’m bored in the house, in the house bored”…
We get to see some people do amazing and creative things when they make posts, of dancing, singing, and other fun things. But we know that many of us are not having wonderful times and let’s be honest… we aren’t in a creative mode either.
Juggle kids and schoolwork, trying to keep them entertained is not easy at all and while we might tell them to do something, that might just turn into stopping them from a park or race in the living room.
Boredom brings on a lot of things. time on the hands of an abuser who is also stuck and bored in the house might find everything that his victim does is an easy target to release boredom. More arguments happen, fights, and so forth are just the upticks of the abuser. Victims who are in the house with their abuser notice all too well their situation.
Let’s remember those who might need our prayers as they are in the house, in the house bored with their abuser.
