“One who damages the character of another damages his own” ~ Nigerian Proverb

It was in my 20’s that I first heard someone use the term “Be better, not bitter” and it has come up many times throughout my adult years. Let’s be honest, when you are hurt it is difficult at times to be the bogger person. It takes some work to be able to control your actions, thoughts, and your words in the heat of the moment.

But, it can be done!

Pain creates a lesson for the wise and a two edged sword for a fool. The power is our own hands. Things like going for a walk or taking a deep breath can help you to refocus your energy. When that energy is refocused you become a leader and a motivator to anyone that may be watching you.
