Renew, Review & Reignite Your Business: Part 2 – Social Media

It’s that time of year again. Spring Cleaning!!!!! Spring cleaning is your opportunity to reignite your passion for your business. This is a great time to look at your mission statement to see what areas can be revised to better serve your clients or simply finding ways to revamp your office space. It is also a great time to look at your budget to see what areas can be adjusted for better financial stability. Find out what cost-effective strategies will help you make better investments or redo your vision board for this year.

My last post was focused on the dreaded cluttered desk. This week I wanted to focus on an area that most people don’t consider when it comes to Spring Cleaning in business. Often times when we spring clean we forget about our social media sites. With the opportunity to post everything everywhere with programs like Hoot-suite, we have built social media sites that are cluttered with useless information. There are those who still have all their business information and personal information on one page instead of having a separate business page. I know this is true because I was one of them until this year.

Your social media sites are an imprint of your business whether you like it or not. With the easy access to information, people will Google both you and your business to determine if you are a good fit for them. Yes, image does matter! It can be the difference between you getting the client of your dreams or the customer of your nightmares. Spring cleaning your social media sites does not take long at all and can be spread out over a few days if that makes you more comfortable.

There are several areas that you should look at when it comes to social media.

1. Active Group pages

2. Expired Event pages

3. Inactive Group pages

4. Cancelled Event Pages

5. Irrelevant Pictures/posts

6. Tagged Pictures

7. Games!!!

It’s time to hit that delete button!
